Care Instructions
How to Care for Your Memorial Horseshoe ♡
Horseshoes fitted in Frames:
The frame:
Wipe the frame gently with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a soft dishcloth that’s been wrung out tightly, followed by drying with a soft, dry cloth.
The Plexiglass:
If the plexiglass needs polishing, we recommend carefully disassembling the frame and gently removing the plexiglass. Place it flat on a level surface, preferably on a soft cloth to avoid any scratches. Wipe it lightly, optionally with a few sprays of glass cleaner, then dry it with a soft cloth until the plexiglass is clean and dry.
Engraved sign:
All memorial horseshoes fitted in frames by us come with a special polishing cloth. This cloth is primarily intended for polishing the engraved sign, which should not be wiped with cloths that have seams or are rough in texture. Therefore, always use the included polishing cloth or a similar soft, seam-free cloth — such as those made for cleaning glasses.
Horseshoe:
The polishing cloth is also designed for gentle wiping of the horseshoe itself and can be used on all the designs we offer, including:
♡︎ Painted horseshoe.
♡︎ Decorated horseshoe with big rhinestones.
♡︎ Decorated horseshoe with small rhinestones.
♡︎ Chrome plated horseshoes.
♡︎ 24 carats gold coated horseshoes.
♡︎ Silver coated horseshoes.
♡︎ Copper coated horseshoes.
If your horseshoe has been coated with a precious metal (Copper, Silver, or 24 Karat Gold), we recommend purchasing a polishing cloth specifically designed for the type of coating on your horseshoe, as these metals can react over time to their environment—for example, oxygen can cause silver to oxidize.
Please note: None of our horseshoe designs are made or intended for outdoor use.
If you choose to place them outside in an unheated area, it is at your own risk and responsibility.

Horseshoes fitted on Wooden Bases:
Wooden base/plate:
Wipe the wooden base or wooden board with a soft, dry cloth. Be careful around the engraved plaque. If needed, you can use a tightly wrung soft dishcloth followed by drying with a soft, dry cloth.

How to Care for Your Memorial Jewelry ♡
All the memorial jewelry we create (except for bracelets) is made from genuine sterling silver (925) or sterling silver with a gold-plated layer of real gold.
Sterling silver will naturally oxidize over time. To maintain the jewelry’s shine, we recommend using a polishing cloth specifically designed for silver.
Gold-plated jewelry has a thin layer of real gold over the silver. This layer may wear off over time with daily use. You can extend its lifespan by taking good care of your jewelry and cleaning it with a polishing cloth made specifically for gold.
Here are some care tips for your jewelry:
Your jewelry is crafted with care and love – and with the right attention, it can keep its beauty and meaning for many years. Here are our best recommendations on how to take good care of it:
♡︎ Store your jewelry in a dry place – preferably in a closed container. This reduces the risk of oxidation.
♡︎ Use specialized cleaners and polishing cloths suited to the precious metal your jewelry is made of.
♡︎ Avoid contact with perfume, creams, hair products, and other chemicals, as they can damage the jewelry’s surface.
♡︎ Remove your jewelry when sleeping or exercising to prevent unnecessary wear.
♡︎ Protect your jewelry from moisture and water, as it can affect both the metal and any encapsulated keepsakes.
♡︎ Epoxy is sensitive to extreme temperature changes – avoid both high heat and freezing conditions.
♡︎ Avoid dropping or crushing your jewelry, as it contains delicate and personal details that do not tolerate rough handling.
With a little loving care, your jewelry can remain a beautiful and lasting keepsake close to your heart. 🖤

How to Care for Your Keepsake Product ♡
Our epoxy products are handmade with care and require a bit of special attention to maintain their appearance and durability. Here are some important tips:
♡︎ Avoid direct sunlight – do not place epoxy products in direct sun, as this can cause the contents to fade or discolor over time.
♡︎ Use LED tealights in tea light holders – we recommend LED lights instead of real flames. If you do use real tealights, only use ones with a burn time of 4–6 hours.
♡︎ Avoid frost and extreme temperature fluctuations, as epoxy does not tolerate sudden or extreme temperature changes and can be damaged.
♡︎ The epoxy we use is non-toxic once fully cured (after 7 days). It is safe to lick and approved for contact with food – which is why it can also be used for items like cutting boards.
♡︎ Epoxy is hard but fragile – if dropped, it can shatter like glass.
With proper care, your epoxy products can stay beautiful and intact for many years.

How to Care for Your competition number ♡
Personally Designed Competition Numbers.
Our exclusive, handmade competition numbers are crafted with the same care and aesthetics as fine jewelry, and should therefore be treated accordingly. To ensure long - lasting durability and to preserve their original beauty, we recommend the following care and storage instructions:
♡︎ Usage – The competition number is not intended for permanent attachment to a saddle pad or other equipment. It should never be left on the tack. Instead, it should be attached once the horse is fully saddled and removed again after the ride, before unsaddling, to avoid unnecessary strain on both the leather and the decoration.
♡︎ Materials and Decoration – Each competition number is adorned with over 600 exclusive rhinestones made of crystal glass, manufactured in Austria – known for its high clarity and brilliance.
♡︎ Cleaning and Maintenance – Use the included polishing cloth to gently wipe the surface when needed. Never use water, soap, or chemical cleaners, as these can damage both the leather and the crystals. Avoid heavy friction, impact, or shocks – crystal glass is delicate and may break under rough handling.
♡︎ Storage – Store in a dry place at room temperature – preferably in the original soft fabric pouch to protect against dust and scratches. Avoid storing in the stable or other environments with large temperature fluctuations or high humidity. The leather may become stiff, and the adhesive behind the rhinestones can weaken over time under such conditions. Frost and extreme heat should be avoided, as they may cause the leather to dry out, crack, or for the stones to loosen.
♡︎ General Recommendations – Avoid bending, twisting, crushing, or dropping the competition number – both the leather and the crystals are sensitive to mechanical stress. Treat your competition number with the same care and consideration you would give to a handmade piece of jewelry.
With proper handling, your competition number can retain its beauty and functionality for many years – as an elegant and meaningful detail in your competition experience.
